Bergara B14 7mm Rem

I hadn’t shot one of the bigger chambered Bergaras before – but no surprise – it shot well! A bit of a heavier gun, DPT on it. Didn’t beat you up like some of the Magnums can.

While it might no be ‘all rounds touching’ – it’s still a very acceptable group.

What would I change?

Depends what you wanted to do with it, ultimately. I think these are really a good, value for the money option for someone wanting to stretch out their hunting a bit.

Shooting Environment

This was shoot ‘in the field’ – meaning less than perfect conditions, on the ground, with either a bipod or bag, depending on the specific setup. Sure – you could better results on a bench, at a range – but that is not generally where these rifles are used – so I am looking to emulate and provide ‘real-world’ results.u003cbru003eu003cbru003eFor those interested – average environmental up there are – 1000hpa Station Pressure, 15-18 deg C, 50-75% humidity.

Why not 5/10/50 round groups?

Because these rifles are not mine. If I can do it with less rounds, and therefore shoot less of the customers ammo/barrel – then so be it.u003cbru003eu003cbru003eYes, I understand statistics, error probability and so on. That’s not the intent.

You could likely spend a week at a range, tweaking and testing a variety of ammo, setups and so on – but that is something people likely do for themselves, not as a service (if you really want to pay me to spend a week shooting your rifle, all good).u003cbru003eu003cbru003eOften people need these back quickly because they have a hunt very soon. We get it hunt ready, sorted and back to them, they go hunt, they drop animals, the animal doesn’t care if I post up a 1, 1/2 or 1/4 MOA group.
