Tikka T3X Strata .270 – with suppressor POI shift!

No. The featured image is not the clients gun. I forgot to take a photo - too excited to be shooting again I guess!

I was back out on the range – setting up a new Strata for a client. He had a SIG Scope on top – so I was providing Chorongraph Data so he could set it up himself.

It was interesting with a significant POI shift when the suppressor was taken off!

Results

A simple setup, and, unsurprisingly, the gun shot well with the Sako Ammo. Again – the combination of a Tikka and Sako Ammo easily coming in under 1 MOA.

  • Ammo: Sako Gamehead 130gr
  • Velocity: 2844fps (2850 for one shot without suppressor on it)

After the final adjustment for zero, I also put one round down range without the suppressor on it – factory muzzle break instead.

3 MOA, 1 MOA to the left! More than a little bit of shift – though, not unsurprising considering it’s a relatively light barrel.
