Ruger American .308 – A surprise performer!

A client recently dropped off his Ruger American in .308. I have a shot a few of these over the years - and they always strike me as agricultural in nature - I guess I am used to the smooth Tikka, or the even more sublime Sako - but the fit and feel of the Rugers are always a bit more basic, a little more clunky and a little less 'slick'. However. Holy hell did this one shoot!

This particular one was sporting a new optic in the form of a Leupold VX5 and had a DPT suppressor out on the front. Factory ammo, zeroed in five shots, shooting lights out!
