We recently took on a new Fishing Drone brand at work, and I could snaffle one of the units for a quick play over the weekend.
Being based in the service/returns department - unfortunately, I often only get to check things out when they are broken, so it was nice to get ahead of the curve and play with something new and work as it should!

I recently told my nine-year-old that she was in charge of dinner. I would act as sous chef and supply the ingredients, but she needed to decide what to cook. Her choice? Sausages and Spaghetti! What surprised me was that, while I regularly cook up Spaghetti Bolognese for the kids, it had been quite a while since I had done Sausages cut up as 'meatballs' in the sauce. It was a great idea, and we quickly set off to get the ingredients!

As the saying goes, "bodies age, just like fine wine." Unless, of course, you fancy yourself more akin to single-malt whisky. That being said, much like a glass of 2001 Pinot Noir, you may also notice you've developed a wobble. Assuming it's not from an overindulgence of the vino mentioned above, it could all boil down to your inner ear! Ah, that unsung hero, quietly working away at its balance-maintaining duties. However, with age, it's much like we've misplaced the umbrella on a rainy day - a little less reliable, a smidge unpredictable, and frankly, a right bugger when it gets it wrong.
Fishing finds its true allure somewhere between the rhythmic sunrise over the horizon and the gentle ripple across the water's surface. But lo and behold, I remember when I first set up my fishing reel — a jumble of line, confusion, and more than a few choice words. If you've been there, you know it means more than simply threading the line and winding it up. And, of course, not to forget the greatest puzzle of them all - "How much line capacity does this reel have, anyway?"
Imagine sitting down to enjoy your favourite snack, a juicy, ripe, and sun-kissed orange. A thought pops into your head, a fun little riddle: what came first, the colour or the fruit named orange?
As you embark on your journey in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), there's more to consider than just the technical aspects. Equally crucial are the often unspoken rules and codes of conduct that shape the social fabric of this martial art. In this guide, we'll expose you to the common – yet often unvoiced – rules and ethics within BJJ. These guidelines revolve around respect, sportsmanship, and personal hygiene, nurturing a training environment where learning, development, and camaraderie can flourish. Get ready to engage not just with the sport, but with its vibrant culture too.
Have you ever been wrestling with a tent and its rogue guy lines during your first camping adventure? If so, fear not; you are not alone. What are these crisscrossing cords for, and how do we use them correctly?
Get ready to embark on a fun fact journey with the guileless and lovable little snowman from our favourite flick. Yes, that's right, we're talking about Olaf! Famous for his heartwarming (but thankfully not melting) quips and sagacity, our icy friend also shares quite the array of 'facts' throughout the film. But are these tidbits from Toontown genuine or just thawed out fiction? Well, isn't that what we're about to find out? Let's don our detective hats and give Olaf's 'fun facts' a proper reality check, shall we?
Picture the scene - a cool, breezy morning, the sun just beginning to peek through the clouds. You slip your feet into a pair of toe socks, feeling the cotton threading slot perfectly between your toes, resulting in a sensation that can only be described as several miniature hugs for your feet. Then, you put on your barefoot shoes - the icing on your foot-comfort cake. Suddenly, your feet feel like they've pranced into a different realm, one where they are unhampered by tight shoes, stuck in a standard shape that your feet are supposed to conform to. No, your feet are liberated, flexible, and enjoying freedom in this happy realm.
I love being asked questions by the kids that challenge me. Recently, my younger daughter responded with "touché" - it was the wrong context, so I said, "good word!" and asked if she understood the meaning. Of course, she said no, can you tell me.
